ArcTangent has to be my favourite Festival for the music every band melted my face in some way or another!

The Festival remains an easy manageable size with 4 stages with a programme of back to back live acts. All veins of Post-rock, Math-Rock and Metal. I Recommend this fest for anyone looking for that alt music scene.

Flushing out some new arrangements tonight…. Not! going wild with effects and improvised grooves tonight at the old duke! Could be similar to this… who knows what might happen

Been working on some new techniques and a new track. I thought a tunnel would be a “fun” place to play…

Its actually been quite some time since my acoustic bass and I went out as a solo act, I’ve been working on some new material and spicing up some oldies. I’m looking forward to playing alongside these awesome chaps to!

Forget the judgemental negative stigma attached to Ski resort and holiday resort bands and solo artist. There is obviously a variation in quality live entertainment within holiday resorts! However Meribel is spoilt for class musicians in the French alpes. Despite mostly playing covers the talent within these bands is clearly on show and they all know how to get a party going. All the parties are down to the hard work of the agency Taking the Piste. Check out some of the madness here:

I have had the privilege to be part of the musical community in Meribel for the last month of the season, my experience playing as a Shambolique Duo has been unforgettable and I cant wait to go back. For those musicians out there who are into a mad party lifestyle then consider an Alpes tour and of course (a top priority for me), you get to go Skiing whenever you want in this stunning landscape!!!
